One of the world’s leading childhood brain tumour experts, Professor Richard Gilbertson, is the Li Ka Shing Chair of Oncology in Cambridge and Director of the Cambridge Cancer Centre.

Professor Gilbertson was previously the Scientific Director, Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and held the Lillian R. Cannon endowed Chair at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. At St Jude, he led international efforts that have dramatically advanced understanding of the biology of several common childhood brain tumours.
