There is no neurosurgeon that would not have heard of Professor M Gazi Yasargil. He is, officially, one of the two Neurosurgery’s Men of the Century. The other was Harvey Cushing. It would be pointless repeating the many great lines written about Professor Yasargil and we would like to refer the reader to the special issue of Neurosurgery devoted to this giant of neurosurgery.
